El domingo 4 de julio de 1976, tres sacerdotes y dos seminaristas pertenecientes a la congregación palotina fueron asesinados salvajemente en la iglesia de San Patricio. Las autoridades militares elaboraron la hipótesis de un ataque extremista, pero los indicios encontrados no dejaron dudas sobre la participación de un grupo paramilitar ligado al gobierno de facto. La Iglesia guardó silencio sobre el asesinato y la investigación judicial iniciada por el gobierno militar encubrió las evidencias que lo señalaban como autor material de la crimen. Si la jerarquía eclesiástica había apoyado el golpe militar, semejante ataque al corazón de la iglesia parecía no tener explicación. ¿Cuáles fueron los móviles que llevaron a la masacre?

On Sunday July 4th, 1976, three priests and two seminarists belonging to the pallottine congregation were brutally murdered at Saint Patrick’s church in Buenos Aires. The Argentinean dictatorial authorities immediately supported the hypothesis of a terrorist attack. But many evidences revealed the involvement of a paramilitary group linked to the de facto government. At that time the Church refused to talk about the murders and the judicial investigation covered up the incriminating evidence of the massacre that pointed the government as responsible of the crime. In a country where the ecclesiastic hierarchy had backed up the military coup, such attack to the heart of the Church seemed to have no explanation. What were the motives of the murder?

PABLO HERNÁN ZUBIZARRETA. Egresó del ENERC en 1995 como director de fotografía. Trabajo tanto en Argentina como en el exterior como camarógrafo, director de fotografía y asistente de dirección en documentales programas de TV y largometrajes de ficción. En 2001 obtuvo una beca otorgada por el Fondo Nacional de las Artes y la Embajada de Francia, para especializarse en la realización de documentales en Les Ateliers Varan (París). Como trabajo final realizó su primer largometraje documental Bulles (Burbujas) que participó en diversos festivales europeos.

Worked as a cameraman, cinematographer and assistant director of documentaries, TV programs and feature films. He made his first feature film Bulles for his thesis, when studying documentary filmmaking at Les Ateliers Varan in Paris.

JUAN PABLO YOUNG. Cursó estudios de Literatura en la UCA para luego ingresar al ENERC donde se especializó en guión cinematográfico. Participó de numerosos cortometrajes y videoclips como guionista, director y asistente de dirección. En 1998 comenzó a dictar clases de guión en diferentes instituciones. Trabajó como guionista en varios documentales y programas de TV para Argentina y distintos países de Latinoamérica.

Specialized in screenwriting at the ENERC, the National School of Experimentation and Filmmaking. He has worked as a screenwriter, director and assistant director for numerous short films and music videos for cinema and TV.
